Boat house and Jr team Hiawatha Island Boat Club brings back a rich tradition of rowing to the New York's Tioga and Broome counties. The 5000 sq. ft. boathouse,  dock system, and surrounding acreage constitute the Les Wagner Rowing Center. The club houses a full inventory of sweep and sculling equipment and offers boat storage for member's private boats.

The Susquehanna River provides over 3 miles of calm, scenic water ideally suited for rowing. The objective of the not-for-profit club is to promote the sport of rowing in the Southern Tier. 

Membership consists of rowers of all ages and levels of ability. Individual goals range from staying fit to competing in local, national or international regattas. HIBC hosts the Binghamton University Crew Club.

From Binghamton, Vestal, Endicott:
Take Rt 17 West, Exit 66. Turn right at end of ramp, go to signal and turn left on Rt 17C. Go 4.5 miles, Rowing Center is on the left. (Use caution when crossing railroad tracks)

From Owego:
Exit 67 from Route 17/86. Turn left at end of ramp, bear right towards Endicott, Rt 17C east.  Take Rt 17C 1.5 miles past Lockheed Martin. Rowing Center is on the right. (Use caution when crossing railroad tracks).
